Qubbet el-Hawa 2022 (Aswan, Egypt), Archaeological Projects

A team of the University of Jaén, led by Dr. Alejandro Jiménez Serrano, works at the necrópolis of Qubbet el-Hawa (Aswan. Egypt) since 2008. The work in the Valley of the Nobles of Aswan consists on the excavation, restoration, conservation and study of the tombs and materials that appear every new season, thanks to the help of a multidisciplinary team of 35 specialists, such as egyptologists, archaeologists, epigraphists, archaeozoologists, anthropologists, chemists, draughtsmen, architects, carpologists, chemists, etc.

This season the archaeological works focused on the inner shafts in tombs QH32 and QH36, and the tombs QH34ll and QH34ff.
